The kendama is a traditional Japanese wooden skill toy made up of a handle and a ball, which are connected by a string- ideal for improving hand-eye coordination, balance and reflexes. The handle consists of three cups and a spike, which fits inside the hole in the ball. Accordingly, kendama tricks involve catching the ball in the cups and spike, juggling the ball between the cups and balancing both the ball and handle in new and creative ways. With patience, focus and practice there are endless trick possibilities with the kendama.
